The fee you pay is determined by:
- Nationality: Applicants are generally divided into two groups:
- SAARC Countries: Citizens of South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) nations typically pay a lower fee.
- Non-SAARC Countries: Citizens of all other eligible countries will have a standard, higher fee.
- Type of ETA : The purpose of your visit also affects the cost. The most common types are the Tourist ETA and the Business ETA , which may have different fees.
- Transit ETA : For travellers with a short layover in Sri Lanka, a Transit ETA is available, usually at no cost for a very limited duration (e.g., up to 48 hours).
Please Note: ETA fees are set by the government of Sri Lanka and are subject to change without prior notice.
