Required Documents for Sri Lanka ETA Application
All eligible applicants are required to submit only ONE document to process their Sri Lanka ETA application.
Passport Bio Page Scan
A clear scan of the passport bio page is required. Please ensure it meets the following requirements:
- A clear, high-resolution and coloured scan is required.
- The full page should be fully readable, including the passport number and MRZ code.
- Screenshots, redacted details and damaged passports are not allowed.
Passport Validity Requirement: The passport must remain valid for a minimum period of 6 months from the intended date of your arrival in Sri Lanka.
Documents That May Be Requested at the Sri Lanka Border
ETA holders may be asked to present the following documents to border officials upon arrival in Sri Lanka:
Valid Passport
Passport used at the time of application.
Approved ETA
A digital or printed copy of the approved ETA.
Round-Trip Ticket
Applicants must show a return or onward flight ticket to the officials (if travelling by air).
Sufficient Funds
Applicants must be able to show evidence of adequate funds to cover their expenses in Sri Lanka.
Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate
A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for travellers coming from certain African and South American regions in order to comply with international health regulations.
